The Site

Cumbria is in the North West of England.

Cumbaree campers will be on the edge of one of the most beautiful parts of England - The English Lake District

The Cumbaree will be sited on the Westmorland County Showground. (SD 526 836 Landranger 97) Easily reached by all forms of transport. It is a flat well drained site (necessary in our weather!), and will offer many activities close at hand and many in the surrounding area.

Access

Cumbaree is;

• Within 2 km (1 mile) of Junction 36 of the M6 motorway (See WCAS map),
• Only 32Km (20 miles) from Heysham - ferries from Belfast, *
• Just 6.5 km (4 miles) from Oxenholme Railway station (main line from London Euston & Manchester airport), *
• 8km (5 miles) from Kendal's Express bus terminal. *

Transport

Although it is the responsibility of individual Groups to make their way to Cumbaree, we can provide linking transport from

• Heysham - Ferry port,
• Oxenholme - Train Station,
• Kendal Bus - Terminal.
