All at CUMBAREE 2002, the International Camp in Cumbria, North West England's beautiful Lake District County.
We welcomed members of the Scout and Guide Movements from the U.K. and overseas - Scouts and Guides aged 10½ to 14, Explorer Scouts, Ranger Guides and Young Leaders aged 14 to 18 and their adult Leaders and Helpers.
We camped in four sub-camps on the edge of the Lake District, at the Westmorland Showground which is just 2km from junction 36 of the M6 motorway, and 20km from Oxenholme rail station, on the London (Euston) to Scotland line. There were 1,250 Scouts and Guides, and around 300 leaders and 240 staff.
