Information Gathering

Logs:

Information about your browser type and IP address etc, is automatically collected by out ISP (BargainHost) for purposes of site statistics / usage monitoring.

E-mail Authentication :

If you use our e-mail facilities, we now operate white and blacklists to allow and disallow certain email addresses or domains. This is an unfortunate necessity due to the large amounts of unsolicited mail sent to CumbriaScouts,org.UK. These lists may be automatically or manually generated. They are held on the domain server by our host ISP. Cumbria Scouts have no intention to use the details logged within this system for anything other than controlling access to its e-mail facility and to protect the Leaders and volunteers from unsolicited mail.

Cookies

If used at all, are to aid navigation through the site or to reduce the download time of images/pages already sent or visited.

Pop-Ups

We have no intention to provide pop-ups. Site links may, however, generate a new target window for clarity of information.
